There will be a Flag Raising Ceremony at the flag in front of Old Main on 9/11 between 6:30am-7:45am held by AFROTC. There will be 60-70 cadets on location honoring the ceremony. The University will not be closed, but we request that departments minimize traffic during these times to allow for this event.
Road Closure Notice:
East Second Street, between Cherry Ave. and Warren Ave. will be closed this Sunday, September 13, from 1pm to 10pm. This closure will accommodate a Block Party Event sponsored by the St. Thomas More Newman Center.
Vehicles Eastbound on Second St will be able to circumvent the closure at Cherry via Hawthorne, behind the Flandrau Science Center.
UA employees have until Friday at 5:00 p.m. to use Employee Link to enroll in benefits. Those who choose not to enroll will be able to choose insurance providers again in the Fall of 2010.
Because of traffic on Employee Link, Human Resources is urging employees to enroll soon and not wait until the last day.
When Special Events take place, it becomes necessary to close some University streets to traffic and to reserve designated proximity parking lots to accommodate temporary guests. As a result, permit holders who normally park in the designated areas or others wishing to visit the area, are affected by these temporary closures.
