Thanksgiving Approaches - Give Through UA Cares

Thanksgiving is a special time to enjoy connecting with family and friends and give thanks for all that we have. It is also a wonderful time to help others who are less fortunate.

UA Cares provides the opportunity for UA employees to give to any 501(c)(3) non profit agency, United Way Impact Area, or University area including scholarships and fellowships.

Waddell Award Lectures Presented by Robert A. Weinberg

Dr. Robert A. Weinberg, professor of biology at MIT, and founding member of the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research will present two Waddell Award lectures and recieve the 21st Waddell Award for outstanding cancer research, Thursday, December 3, in Kiewit Auditorium at the Arizona Cancer Center, 1515 N. Campbelll Ave. At Noon, the lecture will be geared for the scientific community, followed by a lecture for the general public at 5 pm.  read more »

IRB User Group Meeting- All UA Research Faculty

ESPN Game Day Parking

At this Saturday's ESPN Game Day place, it becomes necessary to close some University streets to traffic and to reserve designated proximity parking lots to accommodate temporary guests.As a result, permit holders who normally park in the designated areas or others wishing to visit the area, are affected by these temporary closures.

Parking and Transportation Services, Cat Wheels Bike Share Program has arrived. Students, staff and faculty are eligible to use the bicycles free of charge. The 10 bicycles are comfort style designed, single speed cruiser bikes with dual pivot hand brakes. Perfect for riding around campus, short range commutes to the market, going to your favorite coffee shop or attending off campus meetings.

Dan Adams Farewell Reception

Jenny Lee Wins AAFSAA Outstanding Faculty Award

E-mail System Experiencing Difficulty

E-mail and Webmail systems continue to experience intermittent service delays since Monday morning, Nov. 2. At 9:20 p.m., Monday, all e-mail queues were cleared and all e-mail was delivered. Service delays began again Tuesday morning at approximately 10 a.m.

UITS has formed an incident team to identify and resolve the e-mail problems as quickly as possible. In order to diagnose the problem more efficiently and eliminate all possible causes, several internal processes, including the CatMail Opt In and migration processes, have been temporarily suspended.  read more »

Mister Rogers' Sweater Drive

Anyone with a new or lightly used sweater can carry on the giving spirit of children's television pioneer Fred Rogers in the first week of November.

The "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" sweater drive is collecting sweaters for school children and their families citywide as part of a drive to help fill local school district clothing banks with family clothing appropriate for milder Arizona winters. The goal for the drive is 10,000 sweaters.  read more »

Arizona Soccer Last Home Weekend

The Garage Daily Pass is a new product offered to UA students and staff. It is ideal for alternative transportation (carpool, bus, bike) users that may need to drive a car to work on occasion. It is also useful for anyone that is paying for a space on a daily basis, or students that only have class 2 days per week, or an off-campus permit holder that would like to park close to class, or a commuter that needs to drive to a business or medical appointment.
