E-mail and Webmail systems continue to experience intermittent service delays since Monday morning, Nov. 2. At 9:20 p.m., Monday, all e-mail queues were cleared and all e-mail was delivered. Service delays began again Tuesday morning at approximately 10 a.m.
UITS has formed an incident team to identify and resolve the e-mail problems as quickly as possible. In order to diagnose the problem more efficiently and eliminate all possible causes, several internal processes, including the CatMail Opt In and migration processes, have been temporarily suspended. read more »

Anyone with a new or lightly used sweater can carry on the giving spirit of children's television pioneer Fred Rogers in the first week of November.
The "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" sweater drive is collecting sweaters for school children and their families citywide as part of a drive to help fill local school district clothing banks with family clothing appropriate for milder Arizona winters. The goal for the drive is 10,000 sweaters. read more »
Arizona Soccer hosts Oregon and Oregon State this weekend in the last home series of the 2009 season. The action starts on Friday at 7 vs. Oregon and then on Sunday the Cats take on OSU at 11am. Come out and support your Wildcats!

Why do we need to reduce spending on Library acquisitions?
Despite campus efforts to hold the Libraries' Information Access Budget harmless, the cost of information resources (books, journals, bibliographic databases, etc.) increases each year, necessitating a reduction in our purchases. read more »
Amy Blackburn, photographer and author of the book "Caring for Cynthia" will speak at the UA BookStore Tuesday, October 27 at 4:30 p.m. as part of our celebration of National Breast Cancer Awareness month.

In honor of National American Indian Heritage Month, the featured speaker for November will be Ofelia Zepeda, noted Tohono O'odham poet, MacArthur Fellow and Regents' Professor of Linguistics reading from her latest book "Where Clouds are Formed." The Nov. 3 talk is free and open to everyone!

A Fellowship for Southern Arizona Poets, the Mary Ann Campau Fellowship, will be receiving applications until its deadline on November 20. This fellowship provides a $1,000 stipend and an opportunity to read in the Poetry Center Reading Series. All Southern Arizona poets are invited to apply.
