UITS will present a series of open sessions to discuss Google Apps and its implications as the UITS-provided email and calendaring system at The University of Arizona. Learn more, ask questions, raise concerns... UITS wants your feedback as part of the important process of upgrading and modernizing our communication tools.
Sessions will be held in Room 141 of the Manuel Pacheco Integrated Learning Center at 9:00am on June 4 and 5, and at 2:00pm on June 9, 10, 15, 18, and 19. No reservations are required.
While everyone is welcome at any session, our intent is to focus the first two sessions, June 4 and 5, on the aspects that tend to be important to the IT support employees on campus. If you are an IT professional, you will want to attend on one of these first two days!
The following sessions, June 9, 10, 15, 18, and 19, will be more focused on the end users perspective of using Google Apps for Education. Faculty members, instructors, researchers, business office person and other non-IT staff may find these sessions more applicable.
Representatives from Microsoft will also be on campus Wednesday, June 3 at 1:00pm in Room 119 to present the features and benefits of MS Exchange unified communications platform. Representatives from Google will present on June 16, with time and location to be announced soon.
